Wilderness Adventures at Rancho Suenos y Rezos
Wilderness Walks
You don’t have to leave the porch to hear the Howler monkeys in the canopy and the Macaws picking almonds from fruit-laden branches.
More sights and sounds can be found during a walk through the rainforest. Monkeys, pumas, jaguarondi, three-toed sloths, dart frogs, spectacular morpho butterflies and more than
300 species of birds are waiting for your discovery.
The Beach
A short path leads from the rancho to a long, shallow, private beach where everyone can play in the warm gulf waters.
The rancho has two kayaks that are perfect for paddling in the Costa Rican sun.You can surf the waves or take surfing lessons nearby.

Whale watching is best in January and February. The most common species is the whale shark. These sharks look like monsters but are actually friendly to swimmers and only eat plankton.
Relaxing At The Rancho
Simply lay back and relax in one of the hammocks which are hung on the covered porch of the Rancho and under the trees near the house. Feel the warm breezes. Watch the macaws fly from tree to tree, eating the almonds on the tree right next to the Rancho, and listen to the howler monkeys talking in forest.
The River
Spear fishing in the Agujas River is an exciting and riveting adventure. Julio, the caretaker’s son, will show you where the fishing is best.
